About Sammy-Jo

Ending a relationship can be one of the most destabilizing experiences a person goes through. Even when you know something needs to change, the emotional and physical impact of leaving can feel overwhelming.

My work focuses on supporting people through this transition with care, steadiness, and attention to what the body is holding.

My Approach

Somatic coaching invites us to slow down and listen to the signals the body carries during difficult relational transitions.

When relationships become painful or confusing, the body often holds tension, fear, attachment, and sometimes warnings about safety long before the mind can fully make sense of them.

In our work together, we pay attention to those signals so that decisions about leaving, staying, or rebuilding life afterward can emerge with greater clarity and support.

My approach is grounded in an understanding that relationships do not exist in a vacuum. Many women and femmes carry significant emotional labor within relationships, as well as social, financial, and safety considerations that can make leaving incredibly complex. I aim to create a space that acknowledges these realities while supporting clients in reconnecting with their own clarity and agency.

I work with women, femmes, and non-binary people who are:

  • considering leaving a relationship

  • in the process of separating from a partner

  • navigating the early months after a breakup

Training and Background

My work draws from training in somatic coaching, relationship transition support, and mind-body practices, along with an academic background in Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, which informs my understanding of the social and structural dynamics that shape intimate relationships.

Relevant training includes:

  • Mind-Body Somatic Life Coach certification

  • Alternative Dispute Resolution Divorce Coaching certification

  • Conflicted Co-Parenting Divorce Coaching certification

  • Trauma-Sensitive Yoga training

These approaches inform the way I work with clients: focusing on body awareness, emotional regulation, and thoughtful decision-making during difficult life transitions.

Relationship endings can be complicated and deeply emotional transitions. Having a space to slow down, listen to the body, and move through the process with support can make that transition feel more manageable.
